An Act to appropriate the supply authorised in this Session of Parliament.

Whereas the Commons of the United Kingdom in Parliament assembled have resolved to authorise the use of resources and the issue of sums out of the Consolidated Fund towards making good the supply which they have granted to Her Majesty in this Session of Parliament:—
Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
The use of resources for the service of the year ending on 31st March 2002 is authorised to the amount of £149,381,539,000.
The Treasury may issue out of the Consolidated Fund of the United Kingdom and apply to the service of the year ending on 31st March 2002 the sum of £144,305,891,000.
(1) All the amounts and sums authorised by this Act and the other Acts mentioned in Schedule 1 to this Act, totalling, as is shown in the said schedule, £270,308,223,000 in amounts of resources and £271,925,500,616.60 in sums authorised for issue from the Consolidated Fund, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the date of the passing of the Acts mentioned in Schedule 1, for the services and purposes specified in Schedule 2.
(2) Schedule 2 also sets out the maximum amounts of resources that may be applied as appropriations in aid under section 2 of the Government resources and Accounts Act 2000 to the several purposes and objectives specified in that Schedule.
(3) The abstract of Schedules 1 and 2 which is annexed to this Act shall have effect as part of this Act.
The enactments mentioned in Schedule 3 to this Act are hereby repealed.
This Act may be cited as the Appropriation Act 2001.
